The tools I use for work and play.

From building software to making music, here's a rundown of the gear and tools I rely on.

Workstation

  • 16" MacBook Pro, M1 Max, 32GB RAM (2021)

It handles everything from software development to music production without breaking a sweat.

  • Apple Mac mini M4, 10-Core CPU, 10-Core GPU, 16GB RAM

A compact powerhouse for the desk setup. Great for running Openclaw, local models, and compiling cross-platform mobile apps.

  • Focusrite Scarlett 4i4

My audio interface for recording. Solid preamps and reliable drivers.

  • ADAM Audio T8V

8-inch studio monitors with the U-ART accelerated ribbon tweeter. Accurate and revealing without being fatiguing.

  • Keychron K2 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard

Compact 75% layout with Gateron brown switches. So clicky, so nice.

  • IKEA BEKANT Standing Desk

Motorized sit-stand desk. One button to go from sitting to standing. Simple and reliable.

  • SuperFit 2-in-1 Under Desk Treadmill

Walking pad that slides under the standing desk. Great for getting to 10,000 steps a day during coding sessions and meetings.

Development Tools

  • Cursor

My editor of choice these days. The AI integration has changed how I work, especially for exploring unfamiliar codebases and rapid prototyping.

  • Claude Code

Anthropic's CLI tool for agentic coding. I use it for complex refactors, exploring codebases, and when I want Claude to do the heavy lifting while I think about architecture.

  • iTerm2

A classic that just works. I've got a minimal setup with a few aliases and Oh My Zsh.

  • Postman

Essential for API development and testing. Great for documenting endpoints and sharing collections with the team.

Design

  • Figma

My go-to for UI design and prototyping. Great for collaborating with designers and quickly mocking up ideas before writing code.

Productivity

  • Linear

The best issue tracker I've used. Fast, keyboard-driven, and gets out of the way so the team can focus on building.

  • Notion

Where all the docs live. Great for knowledge bases, meeting notes, and async collaboration.

  • Notion Calendar

Formerly Cron. Clean interface, great keyboard shortcuts, and integrates nicely with the rest of the Notion ecosystem.

Instruments

  • 1966 Hagstrom Viking

A vintage Swedish semi-hollow with a Bigsby Tremolo and modified pickups. Serial #693757. You can hear the character.

  • Roland FP-10

Entry level keyboard with weighted keys. Great for sketching out ideas and playing piano parts into the DAW.

  • Arturia MiniLab 3

MIDI controller with knobs, faders, pads, and keys.

Pedals

  • Universal Audio Dream '65 Reverb Amplifier

Fender Deluxe Reverb in a pedal. The amp modeling is incredible and it doubles as a fantastic spring reverb.

  • Boss TU-2

Classic tuner that doubles as a splitter. It's been on every board I've ever built.

  • MXR Dyna Comp

The classic compressor. Smooths things out and adds sustain without squashing the dynamics too much.

  • Vox V847 Wah

Can't beat the classic Vox wah sound. Essential for funk and expressive lead work.

  • Greer Amps Lightspeed

Organic overdrive that cleans up beautifully with the guitar volume. Great as an always-on option.

  • Electro-Harmonix Oceans 11

Eleven reverb types in one pedal. The shimmer and plate modes get the most use.

DAW & Plugins

  • Logic Pro

My daily driver for mixing and production. I've also worked with Pro Tools, Reason, Recycle, and Ableton Live over the years, but Logic is home.

  • Soundtoys 5

So much character. This bundle gets used on almost every session.

  • maag EQ4

The Air Band is magic. Musical tone-shaping across multiple frequency bands.

  • TrackSpacer

A frequency separation tool that's a helpful shortcut when used subtly.

  • Waves Collection

Renaissance Bundle, SSL EV2 Channel Strip, Manny Triple D, J37, Kramer Tape, F6 Dynamic EQ, and C6 Multiband Compressor. The classics.
